Making stupid, silly things is important to balancing the seriousness of all of the other stuff I do. I know this will end up too expensive for most people but I had to have one. So why not make more? LOL
Since I have devoted so much to On-Board-Air and I’ve covered pretty much everything A-Z, I wanted something a little different. I wanted to be able to blend up margaritas or daiquiris during the hot summer, smoothies during the day and grind coffee in the morning (sorry purists). Blending off the grid is important, so utilizing all of my OBA efforts was equally important.
The Wits' FenderBlender™ is designed and CNC'd right here in the good ole' US of A. The air tool itself is an Ingersol Rand Air Grinder off the shelf. The base and the pitcher's mounting base is made from Delrin while the uprights and clamping mechanism is 6061 aluminum which has been nickle plated for strength and longevity. The Ingersol Rand tool is firmly held in place by both the clamp and the distribution block on bottom which also features an air gauge. All hardware is stainless steel to guarantee no rusting.
The FenderBlender ships with a standard Oster blender/pitcher that is plastic. Plastic was chosen over glass because potential glass breakage during camping or off-roading was a main concern. Although a plastic pitcher is included, the pitcher base is designed to be work with most Oster blender pitchers and also works with the Vitamix S50 or S30's 40-oz blender containers.
