NOTE: BATCH #4 SOLD OUT and #5 now open for pre-sale
The QPM (Quarter Panel Mount) for the 80 Series Land Cruiser is by far the one product Wits' End makes that has the biggest demand for. In fact these have always sold out BEFORE they are even ready to ship out. Its wild.
This time I've been a busy beaver in the background. The Baltic Birch has more than doubled in price because...well, you know, there is a war in the Baltics currently. Doh! So access to the panels required dropped to nearly nothing. Because of this I purchased every piece of I needed for the next 100 QPMs six months ago. It worked. The boards were secured, CNC cut, and now heading to me to be laser engraved before being sealed.
The sheet metal is already in queue and will be going into production the end of August. Planning ahead it is working out that Batch #4 should ship out before the end of the year and batch #5 will ship out by March/April.
If you have been considering grabbing one, now is the time. If you are not part of batch 4/5 then it will be the END OF 2023 before more are made.
In the back of the 80 Series Land Cruiser (both US and non-US models) there is a large void that seemingly does nothing but taunt you and literally collect dust. But you wouldn't know this because its hidden behind a large plastic panel. If you remove that panel you will see just how much space there is to work with.
The Wits' End Quarter Panel Mount gives you the means to make that space usable. This mount maximizes every usable inch of space while still being able to easily install. There are other attempts at making mounts for this area but they are all painfully small or are too myopic by only caring about large woofers.
This mount is 21' x 32" of usable space and has two shelves for mounting heavy components. The mount utilizes existing body panel holes while still allowing the use of the plastic cargo panel. All hardware will be supplied and if you are planning on mounting an ARB single or twin compressor or almost any Viair compressor, then you are in luck because the mounting holes will already be in place.
Mounting anything from power inverters, amplifiers, solar charge controllers, fuse panels, relays, wiring, switches, air compressors or anything else that comes to mind can now be possible AND keeping it out of sight from prying eyes. Included is a 3/8" birch plywood panel that runs the length of the panel that is attached by supplied hardware and not only classes the mounting bracket up but it also gives an easily removable panel to pre-wire most electrical components. Instead of working around a big piece of steel, instead you can layout everything on the plywood panel and use simple wood screws for the small/light components to make life easier. This wood panel also adds electrical isolation if needed. Anything heavy can be mounting onto the steel THRU the wood for greater stability.
• 16 Gauge die-cut steel and CNC formed
• Attaching hardware is pre-installed where applicable
• Mounting hardware included
• Standard Wits' End black textured powder coating
• Mounting holes for VIAIR and ARB compressors
• 3/8" birch plywood insert CNC cut
• Maximizes all usable space
• Now includes the ARB wedge for mounting the ARB twin compressor

Such nice build quality. I’d you think you can just slap one of these together with some box store diamond plate and a vise, then you haven’t seen one in person. Power coat is excellent, birch panel is clean, no tear out, and now I have so much room to organize my electrical project and ARB dual compressor.
Love it so far. Mounted ARB Twin Compressor and BlueSea fuse block with associated power/ground blocks. Will test it out at Cruise Moab next week.
great product good communication i'm a happy camper
so cool, it's ice cold.
Well built, great fit. Couldn't ask for better.
Thanks to Joey and Wits' End, 80 series Land Cruisers are being kept alive. And they are also getting nice 21st century goodies. This is a must. A little on the pricey side, but worth it. Took longer than expected, no fault on Joey. Blame 2020.
This thing is expertly designed to fit well and maximize the wasted space. The original plastic quarter panel cover goes right over the top for a clean factory look. The hardware kit and instruction sheet really made the install easy.
