Product Description
If you have an 80 Series Land Cruiser there seems to inevitably be a decision made about whether or not to remove the rear heater. The typical reasons for removing it are:
• Rear heater core is leaking inside the cab
• The rear heater pipes are corroded and leaking
• Need to add accessories under the passenger seat
Once the rear heater core has been removed there is a hole that is the floor board that must be covered to prevent water or animals from entering. In the past the most common solution was to cover with two strips of iso-butyle rubber. This works perfectly fine. But if you want a slicker solution, now you have one.
Installation:
• After removing the heater core you should decide on sound deadoning or not
• Wipe silicone grease onto one side of the neoprene gasket
• Apply the greased side to the bottom indexing plate (grease prevents movement)
• Wipe silicone grease onto one side of the other neoprene gasket
• Apply the greased side to the top plate (grease prevents movement)
• Using a helper, have the them hold the bottom plate in position
• Place the top plate in position and use the supplied hardware to "grab" onto the bottom plate
• Verify the gaskets are all still in place and nothing has shifted before tightening both screws
Includes:
• (1) CNC'd and anodized top plate
• (1) CNC'd and anodized indexing bottom plate
• (2) Laser cut neoprene gaskets
• (2) Countersink metric screws
