Product Description
After redoing all of your battery cables, and cleaning up the loom, your 80 may benefit from re-routing the cables. Making the starter cable a little longer, to keep it looser, is a good idea for positioning given the plethora of battery options out there. Sometimes the main positive cable just isn't long enough. One way to handle the extra length of cable is to take advantage of the little useless tab on the charcoal canister as a clamp mount for the battery cable. You know that useless piece of metal hanging off the bracket on the charcoal canister? I wanted it to be slightly less useless. Does the job perfectly.
This clamp splits into two pieces and just clamps around the cable. Using the supplied hardware it then mounts onto the charcoal canister where it is up and out of the way. The interior hole is ideally suited for 1/0awg cable with sleaving (.055").
