Product Description
OK ok so lets satiate the man-child in all of us by just calling it what everyone else is going to be calling it... a C.O.C. Ring, of course meaning Concentric Over-Compensating Ring. There is no getting around it and well, I'm just going to own the name now and move on.
Moving on...
NOTE #1: This is NOT a new/unique idea. Its been around a very long time but availability is sparse so I made a batch.
NOTE #2: This does not fit MOST AISIN hubs, but have seen it work on some (could be knock-offs).
When you have a late model 80 series your hub flange is 8mm longer than the early 80s. And the late model birf is also 8mm longer than the early birfs. Not a big deal when everything matches. BUT when you are forced to swap out a late 80 birf WHILE retaining your early hub flange, you have an 8mm gap that allows the axleshaft and birf to essentially float in the seal. This causes leaking. But sometimes the cost or immediate availability of the correct parts isn't guaranteed. That's where this collar/bushing/ring comes in. This will take up that space and make everything happy again.
This is the same piece that is needed when converting over to part-time 4WD on your 80 to AVM or other non-AISIN hubs.
Features:
• 8mm spacer
• Fits all 80 Series birfs but only used on late birfs with early flanges
• Sold as a pair
